i2 Wins Queen’s Award Two Years in a Row
Award recognises the role that i2's intelligence products play in the prevention of crime and terrorism

Cambridge, UK, 21 April 2011: Cambridge-based i2, the leading provider of intelligence and investigation software, has received the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category for the second year running. This is in recognition of the support that i2's powerful intelligence products provide for every phase of operations in the prevention of crime and terrorism.

The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are among the UK's most prestigious awards for business performance.  The Innovation Award in particular recognises those organisations demonstrating substantial and sustained improvement in business performance and commercial success as a result of outstanding innovation in products or services.

"Winning this award for the second year running is a fitting tribute to the continuing achievements of the company and our employees," said i2 CEO Robert Griffin. "The successes of our products in helping our customers collaborate and share information, investigate, predict, prevent and defeat the world's most sophisticated criminal and terrorist threats has been an instrumental factor in this achievement."

Industry leading heritage
Since launching in the UK in 1990, i2 has well-established relationships with a large number of police forces, government and defence agencies, and commercial organisations. In fact, all UK police forces and national security agencies utilise i2 technology to help fulfil their missions on a daily basis.

"Our dedicated employees work side by side with our law enforcement, defence, intelligence and commercial clients to develop innovative new features, applications and other improvements to disrupt criminal and terrorist threats, making our solutions the go-to technology for more than 4,500 organisations in almost 150 countries," said Griffin.

Measurable Benefits
i2's suite of analytical solutions – the Intelligence-Led Operations Platform – drives tangible benefits by integrating disparate sets of data to make non-obvious connections critical to any investigation.  For example, in the law enforcement environment, complex vehicle convoy analysis tasks can be completed at the click of a button, returning results in seconds, when typically these tasks would take many hours or even days. In some cases, these complex investigations would have taken so long, and required requests to multiple data holders, that they simply would not have been undertaken.

i2 EMEA User Conference
From 24-25 May 2011 at the Renaissance Hotel Brussels, i2 is hosting its annual EMEA User Conference.  Customers from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa will join  leading analysts, investigators and commanders in law enforcement, defence, national security, government and the private sector to collaborate, learn and share experiences on how best to investigate, predict, prevent and disrupt crime and terrorism. This event is for users of all i2 Analysis products, including Analyst's Notebook, iBase, Workstation and Intellishare in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
